MANAGEMENT

CEO and Founder - Dr. Arcadio Garcia de Castro experience includes senior scientific Business Development positions at Chimera Pharma (Spain) OncoStem Pharma (Spain) and PharmaMar-Zeltia (Spain). Prior to this Dr G. de Castro was R&D director and founder of Cambridge Biostability Ltd. (UK), and researcher at the Univ. of Cambridge (UK) and Quadrant Healthcare (UK). Dr G. de Castro is BSc in Microbiology and PhD in biotechnology from the University of Surrey (UK).

Senior Scientific Advisor - Dr. Raul Carrodeguas is Vice-Director of the Center of Biomaterials of the University of Havana (Havana, Cuba) since 1999. Presently at the Institute of Ceramic and Glass of the CSIC (Madrid). Over 20 years experience in basic research and applied developments of ceramic and composite biomaterials. Dr. Carrodeguas has a BSc in Chemistry, an MSc in Inorganic Chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Havana (Cuba).

Head of Injectable Needle Project - Dr. Niuris Acosta has 20 years experience in the design of hydrophilic drug delivery systems based on biodegradable and biocompatible polymers. Dr Acosta worked at the Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology and the Center of Biomaterials in Cuba, in the Biofunctional Institute of Complutense Univ. of Madrid and Laboratorios Farmacéuticos ROVI (Spain). Dr. Acosta has a PhD in Chemistry from the Complutense Univ. of Madrid.

Head of Bone Regeneration Project - Dr. Sussette Padilla has been researching into bone regeneration biomaterials for 15 years. Dr. Padilla has worked at the Center of Biomaterials (Cuba), the Faculty of Pharmacy at Complutense Univ. of Madrid and in the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the Duisburg-Essen Univ. (Germany). She is PhD from the Complutense Univ. of Madrid, MSc in Inorganic Chemistry and BSc in Chemistry from the Univ. of Havana.

Head of Drug Stabilisation and Delivery - Resu Alloza has 20 years experience in Drug and Vaccine Stabilisation. Research positions held at Laboratorios Hipra (Spain) and Laboratorios Ipsen (Spain). Resu is a certified Pharmaceutical Industry Specialist and has a BSc in Pharmacy from the University of Barcelona and an MSc in Project Management from La Salle.

AzureBio has five recent patent applications in the field of drug delivery and bone regeneration.
