AzureBio is developing a proprietary synthetic osteoinductive bone regeneration matrix in the form of granules and pastes.

Comparative clinical trials were initiated in 2007 on periodontal bone regeneration. Preliminary data on five patients have demonstrated improved bone regeneration capacity of the experimental material over standard bovine derived bone. Further tests are currently being carried out in bone regeneration animal models of critical bone defects and vertical augmentation.

AzureBio is actively pursuing the development of its SIL-OSS bone regeneration matrix to obtain CE mark and is looking to establish appropriate co-development and commercialization partnerships.
