June 10: AzureBio moves to new offices and laboratories in Tres Cantos (Madrid). This move provides full independance and larger laboratory and office space.
May 10: AzureBio establishes formal collaboration with Instituto de Ceramica y Vidrio from the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas. The collaboration provides access to first class material scientists and latest equipment for material characterisation.

Dec 09: Completed evaluation of Injectable Needles loaded with Hepatitis B vaccine. Studies carried out at Vivotecnia Research demostrated efficacy and feasibility of AzureBio injectable needles loaded with Hepatitis B surface antigen and their equivalence to standard commercial vaccine.
April 09: AzureBio establishes a fomal collaboration with Centro de Cirugia Minima Invasiva Jesus Uson. The collaboration porvides accss to first class surgery and will facilitate the evaluation of new bone regeneration matrices.
October 08: Bionostra Group invests in AzureBio. Bionostra Group takes a significant shareholding and long-term commitment in AzureBio.
September 08: AzureBio is granted 360,000 EU by the Comunidad de Madrid for the development of Injectable Needles.
May 08: Presentation of clinical trial of bone regeneration material at the 8th World Biomaterials Congress in Amsterdam. Preclinical and clinical data presented for proprietary bone regeneration material (Friday 30 May. Session 035. Bone regeneration in Rabbit Calvaria with novel Monetite Granules).
April 08: AzureBio licenses a bone regeneration material in Phase I from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. An exclusive license to bone regeneration matrices for use in periodontal disease developed at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. The matrix has demonstrated superior bone regeneration capacity in clinical trials in comparison with standard granular bovine bone.
